FAQ
-
How long does it take to get my tracks back?
It depends—the turnaround time can vary based on track complexity, song count, and current projects in my queue. Typically, though, you can expect your completed songs within 2-4 weeks. I’ll keep you updated on progress along the way.
Each track package includes 5 revisions per process: 5 mix revisions and 5 master revisions per song. For those who order the full package, that means up to 10 revisions in total (5 for mixing and 5 for mastering).

Can I hear samples of your work?
Yes! Check me out on all streaming services (Mitchell Genesse) to hear my own music. I will be uploading client samples to my site within the coming weeks.

How are you different from other audio engineers?
Two main reasons:
Affordable, Accessible Pricing
My rates are intentionally affordable—lower than most other engineers you'll find—because I believe everyone should have access to high-quality mixing and mastering. My package deals also offer unique value, designed specifically for independent and emerging artists who need professional sound without breaking the bank.Empowering Musicians Through Partnership
I’m here to empower musicians who might not have the time or resources to learn mixing and mastering from scratch. My goal is to get your music heard by making the production process simple, accessible, and tailored to your needs. I’m in this for the love of music, not to create the illusion of a big-name studio. You can count on me to bring my full passion and fair treatment to every step of the process, treating your music as if it were my own. -
Could you do sliding scale or provide discounts?
Generally, I don’t do sliding scale. In rare exceptions, I am open to providing a cheaper rate if you genuinely cannot afford my pricing. This is a trust-based discount for those who genuinely need it.
You can check out my Packages page for a variety of comprehensive discounts to keep services accessible, including multi-song and new client discounts.
-
Are you a full time engineer?
Not yet! I’m a full-time social worker who’s passionate about music and audio engineering, offering these services around my job. This can sometimes mean a bit more turnaround time, but by supporting my work, you’re helping a lower-middle-class human services worker stay afloat in the Bay Area and keep creating music I love. Thanks for being part of this journey!

How does payment work? What does the entire process look like?
Rather than an online store, I take a personalized approach to ensure your project meets all your needs. You won’t be asked to make any payments until we’ve thoroughly discussed your project scope and goals. This way, you can feel confident and secure working with me, knowing that your vision is fully understood before making any commitments. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
Initial Contact: Reach out to me via the contact form or schedule a video consultation. We’ll discuss your project details, goals, and specific needs.
Quote and Down Payment: After we’ve finalized the project scope, I’ll provide you with a detailed quote. To confirm your project start, you’ll make a 25% down payment via a secure invoice sent directly to your email.
File Submission and Work: Send me your stems or project files, and I’ll get to work based on the package you selected.
Preview and Revisions: When the work is complete, I’ll send you a private, watermarked SoundCloud link with a full-length sample of your track. This lets you review the whole song securely, without a download option. You’ll be able to give feedback and request up to 5 revisions per process (mix or master).
Final Payment and File Delivery: When you’re satisfied with the final result, you’ll receive a second invoice showing the down payment as “paid,” with only the remaining balance due. Once this is completed, I’ll deliver your high-quality, lossless, download-ready files.
Refund Policy: Due to the intensive work put into each project, I do not offer refunds. However, if you’re not fully happy after all revisions, reach out—I want you to leave a happy musician (and hopefully a great review)!
